2010 Grammy Nominations
(Oct 16th, 2009) So the new album has been out for several months now and selling fairly well. Sunrise at Basin Harbor has been accepted by the Recording Academy and is now up for a 2010 Grammy nomination. The album is up for Best Classical Contemporary Composition as well as Best Classical Album. Two tracks are up for Best Instrumental Composition also.

(Sep 12th, 2009) So the Lyttleton family concluded another great season at Basin Harbor Club. We did all of our favorite things including having coctails with Roddy (plenty of them), golf with Jerry and of course MDR with the Reeves.
Basin Harbor was the perfect summer getaway, especially given the heat in Texas. But now it’s back to reality (sort of) and back to work.

Aww, what the heck, if it sells just 1 copy, that's fine cuz I like it. But you should really give it a spin. There's a lot to like in this one. And drop me a line to let me know what you think.

(May 2nd, 2009) As u will see, I've settled on a new name for the new release. "Sunrise at Basin Harbor" is meant to bring about the thoughts of a calm summer morning in Vermont. The Basin Harbor Club has been the summer vacation spot for the Lyttletons going on 5 years now. The track names are meant to celebrate all that is great about the resort. Jerry at the golf shop, Roddy the bartender and others make our time there first class.

(Apr 20th, 2009) First of all, sales of the existing CD, Morning Chamber Dreams is going quite well. I think I have persuaded at least 35% of my family to buy (net of refunds). If you're still on the fence, just click over to the left on the iTunes logo and commit yourself. You won't be sorry!
Secondly, work on the new pieces have progressed nicely. I have several harmonies that I think all will enjoy. I have to say that I have learned a lot in this process. I hope that it will be obvious that the music has matured. I have resisted doing 10 minute pieces that are customary in classical works. I have tried to stay with the 4 minute "song" format. I believe that it is just more digestible. I'm not out to compete with Mozart/Chopin/et. al. Should have some more samples up soon. Below is a pic of what I'm thinking about for the new cover.

(Mar 11th, 2009) So the first real review on the music is in. I was speaking with an early recipient of the CD who was having a HORRIBLE day. She said she popped the CD into her computer and just sat and listened -- twice. She felt a calm come over her and the torrent issues in life seemed to fall right into place. She thanked me for the music and made me feel I actually accomplished something from this project.

(Mar 6th, 2009) So the first album officially went on sale yesterday! So far I have sales totaling jack squat. That's okay, I'll give it a few days to hit platinum.
